How it works
One block system that becomes beds, walls, benches and sandboxes.
The block system
Every block is 9.5 cm high and 7.2 cm deep. Lengths are multiples of 7.2 cm, with one peg hole for every 7.2 cm.
Three kinds of parts
Standard blocks
With holes. They make every row except the top.
Top blocks
No holes on top. They cap the final row neatly.
Wooden pegs
One in every hole. They join each row to the next.
Assembly step by step
- 1
Prepare the base
Level the ground. You can lay mesh under a bed against moles.
- 2
Lay the first row
Corners interlock: one wall runs through the corner, the other butts against it.
- 3
Add the pegs
One peg in every hole. They go into the blocks of the next row.
- 4
Next row
The corner direction flips and the seams shift. That's what holds it together.
- 5
Cap the top
On the final row, use top blocks with no holes.

Care and lifespan
Untreated pine
No chemical preservatives. It turns silver-grey over time.
Oil once a season
Oil keeps the natural colour and extends its life.
Liner in raised beds
A liner inside keeps soil off the wood and reduces moisture.
Replace one block
If one block is damaged, replace it, not the whole build.
